New Delhi. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said that there was an increase of Rs 60 in domestic LPG cylinders and a profit of Rs 115 in commercial LPG. First the benefit of low international prices was snatched away from the public and now the public was made to sweat under the burden of inflation. Mallikarjun Kharge said that the Modi government, which claims that “all is well” in case of war, is helpless in providing adequate oil, gas and fertilizers.

AICC and Social Media and Digital Platform Chairperson Supriya Shrinet said that the price of domestic LPG increased by Rs 60. Commercial LPG cylinder increased by Rs 115. Modi government earlier said that there is adequate supply. America-Israel-Iran war will not make any difference to our energy security. But then in one stroke the prices of LPG were increased.

Supriya Shrinet said that Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi had already warned that this war will have a deep impact on India. Our energy supply comes from the Gulf countries. If it is disrupted, it will have adverse effects on our economy. The monthly report of the Finance Ministry is also saying the same, this is a failure of our foreign policy. Even if the Strait of Hormuz was opened, it was only for the ships of Russia and China. If it had opened for India also, the prices would not have increased so much. Now the prices of LPG have increased, in future the prices of diesel and petrol will also increase. Why should the people of the country bear the brunt of the failures of Narendra Modi and his ministers?

“Congress’s outcry against inflation”
Under the leadership of Mahila Congress President Alka Lamba and Delhi Mahila Congress President Pushpa Singh, Congress protested against inflation. Women activists demonstrated against the increased prices of gas. This decision of Modi government on the people who are facing the brunt of inflation is like wetting the dough in poverty. Our demand is that Modi government should immediately withdraw this anti-people decision.
