Green Pea Raita: Summer season has almost started, and in such a situation, having curd, raita, buttermilk along with food increases the fun of eating. Be it dal-rice or vegetable-roti, raita tastes great with it. In such a situation, when someone talks or takes the name of raita, the first name that comes to our mind is boondi or cucumber, but if you want to add something new to your plate, then pea raita is a great option.
Fresh green peas combined with curd gives a tremendous taste. Which is not only healthy but also tastes good, this raita is as easy to make as it is delicious to eat. So let us know the recipe of pea raita which can be made in minutes.
Material
Fresh green peas-1 cup
Curd-1 cup
Roasted cumin powder-1/2 tsp
Black salt-1/4 tsp
salt-as per taste
Green chilli-1 finely chopped
Green Coriander – 1-2 teaspoons finely chopped
Method
- First of all, boil green peas for 2-3 minutes. Then filter the water and let it cool.
- Mash the boiled peas lightly or grind them lightly in a mixer (do not make a complete paste). Beat the curd well in a bowl so that it becomes smooth.
- Now add mashed peas, salt, black salt, roasted cumin powder and green chillies to the curd and mix well. Garnish by adding green coriander on top.
- Pea raita tastes very tasty with dal-rice, pulao, paratha or vegetable-roti. If you want a mild spicy taste in the raita then you can add some red chilli powder or chaat masala on top.
