A Pakistani driver has died after debris from an interception fell onto a vehicle in the Al Barsha area of Dubai. Dubai Marina was rocked by an explosion on Saturday evening as Iran launched missiles and drones at the UAE. Videos shared on social media show a fire raging, appearing to come from a car, with a cloud of black smoke wafting into the sky.
Dubai Media Office later confirmed that a driver was killed after debris fell onto a vehicle. It wrote on X: "Authorities confirm that debris from an aerial interception fell onto a vehicle in the Al Barsha area, resulting in the death of a Pakistani driver." Another shocking video shows the 23 Marina tower with smoke pouring out of it, reportedly due to being hit by a missile.
Authorities confirmed that "a tower in Dubai Marina" sustained damage from debris after air defences intercepted a threat from above. Dubai Media Office wrote on X: "Authorities confirm that debris resulting from a successful interception caused a minor incident on the façade of a tower in Dubai Marina. The situation has been contained. No injuries were reported."
