Delhi: The wait of cricket fans for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 is going to end soon. There was a lot of speculation regarding the start date of the tournament for a long time. Complete schedule has not been released yet

Although the starting date of the tournament has been decided, the detailed schedule of the entire season has not been revealed yet. It is believed that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) may soon release the complete list of dates, venues and matches of all the matches.

Reason for delay in releasing the schedule

The election schedule is being said to be the main reason behind the delay in announcing the entire schedule of IPL 2026. Keeping in view the dates of elections and counting of votes in some states of the country, a comprehensive plan for security arrangements is being prepared.

RCB will enter as defending champion

Royal Challengers Bangalore will enter the field in IPL 2026 as the current champion. In the final of last season, RCB won the IPL trophy for the first time by defeating Punjab Kings by six runs.

This time the team will play its five home matches at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Apart from this, two home matches will be held at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur.
