Udaipur, March 9, 2026 (Read): Early leaks about Apple’s next flagship smartphones, the iPhone 18 Pro series, have started appearing online. According to reports, the company may launch the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max in 2026. While Apple has not shared any official information yet, recent leaks suggest several possible changes to design, camera, battery and processor.
Recent reports highlight potential updates in the camera department. The iPhone 18 Pro series is expected to continue with a triple rear camera setup, but it may include new technology such as a mechanical iris. This feature could allow the camera to adjust the aperture based on different lighting conditions. Reports also suggest that Apple may use Samsung’s three-layer stacked image sensor, which could improve photo processing speed and reduce noise.
In terms of performance, the iPhone 18 Pro lineup is expected to feature a new A20 Pro chipset, which may be built using TSMC’s 2nm process technology. The new chip is expected to bring improvements in both performance and power efficiency. Reports also indicate that Apple could adopt Wafer Level Multi-Chip Module packaging technology, allowing RAM to be integrated directly with the CPU, GPU and Neural Engine.
Apple may also shift the Face ID hardware under the display in the iPhone 18 Pro models. If this happens, the Dynamic Island cutout seen on current iPhones could be removed. The front camera may instead appear as a small hole on the upper left side of the screen. However, the overall design language is expected to remain similar to current models.
Battery improvements are also being discussed in leaks. According to reports, the iPhone 18 Pro Max could feature a battery of around 5100mAh. To accommodate this, the device may become slightly thicker and heavier, with a weight reportedly exceeding 240 grams. For connectivity, the phone may include Apple’s new C2 modem, which could enhance mmWave 5G support.
Display sizes are not expected to change significantly. Reports suggest the iPhone 18 Pro may feature a 6.3-inch display, while the Pro Max variant could come with a 6.9-inch display. As for the launch timeline, the series is expected to be introduced around September 2026. There is no confirmed information about pricing yet, though reports indicate that after the price increase in the iPhone 17 series last year, the company may try to keep prices stable this time.
