This seismic event occurred at a depth of approximately 377 kilometers (234 miles), categorizing it as a deep-focus earthquake. The United States Geological Survey (USGS) recorded the quake at a magnitude of 6.0, pinpointing its epicenter 16 kilometers south-southeast of Sant'Angelo, Italy. The earthquake took place at 04:33:54 (UTC+05:30) with coordinates of 40.564°N, 13.975°E, and a depth of around 373 kilometers. Residents in southern Italy, including those in the major city of Napoli within the Campania region, reported feeling the tremor. Fortunately, there have been no immediate reports of significant damage or injuries.
