Arsenal have been handed a major triple injury boost ahead of their Champions League trip to Bayer Leverkusen.

William Saliba, Leandro Trossard and Riccardo Calafiori were all back on the grass at London Colney on Tuesday lunchtime before the team's flight to Germany.

Saliba has missed the past few matches with an ankle issue sustained in the Premier League victory over Chelsea while winger Trossard and full-back Calafiori were both forced off on Saturday in the FA Cup triumph at Mansfield Town.

But all three players look set to be available to face Leverkusen on Wednesday evening and the only notable absentees from training session were captain Martin Odegaard, versatile defender Ben White and Mikel Merino, who recently underwent successful foot surgery.

Declan Rice, Gabriel Magalhaes and Martin Zubimendi have also been back in training this week after they were rested against Mansfield.

Mikel Arteta revealed after the win at Field Mill that all three players had been battling various niggles but they now look to have benefited from a rare weekend off.

Teenage duo Max Dowman and Marli Salmon also trained with the group and look poised to travel to Germany barring any late U-turn.

Arsenal are looking to take an important step towards the Champions League quarter-finals when they square off against their Bundesliga opponents at the BayArena.

Leverkusen are in shaky form domestically and boss Kasper Hjulmand is under growing pressure amid reports his position could be assessed at the end of the campaign.

The Premier League leaders will face Bodo/Glimt or Sporting CP in the last-eight if they are to reign supreme against their Bundesliga counterparts.

On Monday evening, Arsenal also discovered that they will face Southampton in the FA Cup quarter-finals.

The big games are coming thick and fast for Arteta's challengers, who also head to Wembley later this month to take on Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final.
