Rothmund's research into solid-state transformers led to the founding of Hyperscale
With their latest funding, Hyperscale Power wants to make these transformers even tinier, something CEO Daniel Rothmund said is important as data centers get bigger and hungrier for energy.
Rothmund designed and built a 99.1% efficient solid-state transformer while completing his PhD at ETH Zurich.
As AI keeps growing, having compact and super-efficient transformers could be a game changer, and Hyperscale's founders bring deep experience to this fast-moving market.
