Wife's sinister plot revealed: A shocking incident has emerged from Tumakuru district in Karnataka, where a man's death was initially attributed to a heart attack but later uncovered as a gruesome murder. The victim, 50-year-old Parmesh, who worked as a daily wage laborer, passed away on the night of January 29. His wife, P. Asha, employed in housekeeping, informed relatives that he had suffered a heart attack.
The family conducted his funeral the very next day, burying the body without any suspicion. However, just 20 days later, on February 19, Asha hastily married her alleged lover, Chandappa, a 48-year-old cook. This rapid marriage raised eyebrows among Parmesh's sisters, who suspected foul play.
They filed a complaint at the Hebbur police station, expressing their concerns about a possible murder. Acting on the complaint, police exhumed the body in the presence of the tehsildar and revenue officials. An autopsy revealed that the cause of death was not a heart attack but suffocation. Forensic analysis confirmed these findings.
Following this, police detained Asha and Chandappa for intense questioning, during which both confessed to the crime. Investigations revealed that Parmesh had a habit of drinking and would often fall asleep after consuming alcohol. On the night of the incident, while he was in a deep slumber, Asha and Chandappa smothered him with a pillow, attempting to stage the death as natural. Both have been arrested on murder charges, and the investigation is ongoing as authorities seek further evidence.
