T20 World Cup: Team India's star reached home 'secretly' in the train, this is why he took this step after becoming champion

Team India once again made the entire nation happy by winning the T20 World Cup. In the final played in Ahmedabad, the Indian team defeated New Zealand in a completely one-sided manner and won this title for the second consecutive and record third time. This time no victory parade has been taken out after the victory of Team India. Therefore all the players returned to their respective homes. But while all the world champion stars reached their homes amid a warm welcome, one player who played a big role in the team's victory left Ahmedabad by hiding in the third-AC coach of the train.

Why take train instead of plane?

This player who goes on the train secretly from everyone is none other than T20 World Cup final Shivam Dubey is the all-rounder who played a brilliant inning of 25 runs in 8 balls. This funny incident has been revealed in a report of Indian Express newspaper. According to the report, just hours after the Indian team won the title, Shivam Dubey left for his home in Mumbai. But, the surprising thing was that instead of leaving for Mumbai by plane, he went by train and the reason for this was also very special.

It has been told in the report that as soon as the finals were over in Ahmedabad, Shivam Dubey started preparing to go to Mumbai with his wife and a friend. But at that time all the flights from Ahmedabad to Mumbai were already full and no tickets could be found. In such a situation, it was decided to go by train but here also tickets were available for third AC instead of first AC. He booked 3 tickets and secretly left for the railway station.

This is how Dubey hid his identity in the train.

During this time, it could have been easy to identify Dubey, so he wore a cap, put a mask on his face and then went to the station. Due to the huge crowd of Indian fans in the station, he sent his wife and friend first and boarded the train after reaching the platform just 5 minutes before departure. Here he went straight to the topmost berth and lay down. Not only this, when the ticket checker came, he was surprised to read the name of Shivam Dubey. When he asked whether he was a cricketer, Dubey's wife Anjum obviously refused.

Finally, without anyone recognizing him, Shivam Dubey reached Mumbai sleeping comfortably in the train. However, he was afraid of his identity being revealed at Borivali station in Mumbai. In such a situation, he contacted the local police, who themselves were surprised that he was returning by train. Finally the police reached the station, escorted them and took them home safely without any drama. Dubey told that he did all this because he was desperate to meet his two children and could not wait much longer.
