OPPO Smartphone Price: If you are planning to buy a new smartphone, then this news can be very important for you. China’s two biggest smartphone companies, OPPO and OnePlus, are soon going to increase the prices of many of their phones. According to reports, both the companies may increase the prices of some smartphones from March 16, 2026.
Companies say that this decision has been taken due to rising component costs and supply chain problems. Therefore, if you are planning to buy a smartphone from these brands in the coming days, you may have to pay more money than before.
New price update may come into effect from March 16
According to media reports, OPPO and OnePlus have announced in a joint statement that the prices of some smartphones will be changed from March 16. This change can be implemented in many markets including India.
However, the companies have not yet clarified which models’ prices will increase. However, industry experts believe that smartphone prices may increase by 15 to 20 percent.
Possibility of increase in prices of these smartphones
According to reports, the prices of some popular OnePlus models may also be affected. For example, the OnePlus 15R was launched in India at a starting price of around ₹47,999. If the price increases, it could be worth more than ₹50,000.
Similarly, prices of Oppo’s A-series and K-series smartphones in the budget and mid-range segment may also increase. This means that customers who are planning to buy a phone in a low budget may have to spend more.
Why are smartphone prices increasing?
Over the past few months, the smartphone industry has seen a sharp increase in the prices of many critical parts. RAM, processor chipset and other hardware parts have become more expensive than before.
Additionally, disruptions in global supply chains and the adoption of new technologies have increased manufacturing costs. Due to this, many companies are being forced to increase the prices of smartphones.
Direct impact on buyers’ pockets
If this price increase is implemented, it will directly impact consumers. Especially in the mid-range and premium smartphone segments, phones may become more expensive than before. So, if you are planning to buy an OPPO or OnePlus smartphone, it may be beneficial to buy before March 16, because after that date the same phone can be available at a higher price.
