Bengaluru: City police have arrested three accused in two separate cases for allegedly selling drugs, including hydro ganja and MDMA, in Bengaluru.
In the first case, K G Halli police arrested a man who was allegedly bringing ganja from Odisha and selling it in the city.
The accused has been identified as Faiyaz (32), a resident of K G Halli. Police said 16 kg of ganja worth about Rs 8 lakh was seized from him.
According to police, the accused had recently been selling ganja in areas under the police station limits. Based on specific information, police conducted a raid and arrested him along with the drugs.
Police said Faiyaz earlier worked as a car driver. During that time, he became acquainted with some people from Odisha. Later, he allegedly started bringing ganja from Odisha himself and selling it in Bengaluru to earn money.
In another case, Malleshwaram police arrested two persons from Kerala for allegedly bringing drugs from the state and selling them in the city.
The accused have been identified as Sreekutten and Meershad, both natives of Kerala. Police said narcotics worth about Rs 12 lakh were seized from them, including 23.19 grams of MDMA, 1 kg 40 grams of ganja and 33 grams of hydro ganja.
