On March 7, 2026, following a complaint from Smt. Jeevan Lata of Panjasra village, an FIR No. 23/26 was filed at the Rehan Police Station under Sections 331(4) and 305 BNS concerning a burglary. Intruders had forcibly entered her home, making off with gold jewelry, including a men's ring, a women's ring, a pair of earrings, a small idol of Lord Satyanarayan, and a sum of cash.
During the investigation, it was discovered that the individuals arrested in FIR No. 24/26 on March 8, 2026, under Sections 21, 25, and 29 of the NDPS Act at the Rehan Police Station were also implicated in this theft.
The suspects have been identified as follows:
Authorities recovered stolen items from the suspects, including a women's gold ring, a gold earring with a red stone, a key ring, a pair of women's toe rings, a silver ring, along with two DVRs and a Wi-Fi device taken from the residence.
Further questioning of the suspects regarding additional thefts is ongoing, and legal proceedings are being conducted in accordance with the law. The District Police of Nurpur urges the public to report any suspicious activities in their vicinity promptly to help prevent crime effectively.
