Fast bowler Nahid Rana played an important role in Bangladesh’s spectacular victory. He took 5 wickets for 24 runs, which ruined Pakistan’s entire batting plan. He was named Player of the Match for his excellent performance. Besides, Mehdi Hasan Miraj also proved his mettle by taking 3 wickets.

Tamim’s brilliant half century

While chasing the target, Bangladesh batsmen were seen batting with confidence. Tanjid Hasan Tamim scored an unbeaten 67 runs in 42 balls to put Bangladesh in a strong position. His innings included many brilliant fours and sixes. Nazmul Hossain Shanto also provided good support by scoring 27 runs, while Saif Hasan was out early. Liton Das returned unbeaten till the end.

Pakistan’s batting completely failed

Pakistan’s batsmen struggled completely in this match. The performance of most of the team’s batsmen was disappointing. Sahibzada Farhan scored 27 runs, while Maaz Sadaqat added only 18 runs. Wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan was out after scoring 10 runs. Salman Aga, Hussain Talat and Abdul Samad also did not make any significant contribution.

Faheem Ashraf saved some respect

When Pakistan team was continuously losing wickets, Faheem Ashraf struggled and played an inning of 37 runs to bring the team’s score to a slightly respectable position. Without his contribution, Pakistan team would not have even reached the 100-run mark.

Pakistan’s lowest score

In this match, Pakistan made its lowest score in ODI history against Bangladesh. Under the captaincy of Shaheen Shah Afridi, the team was limited to only 114 runs. Earlier, Pakistan’s lowest score was 161 runs in 1999. Now this record has also been broken and the beginning of the series has been very disappointing for Pakistan.
