Karachi: Former Pakistan captain and star batsman Babar Azam has withdrawn from the National T20 Championship to address technical flaws in his batting ahead of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) starting on March 26. Babar, who was dropped from the squad for the ODI series against Bangladesh at home after a poor performance in the T20 World Cup, was named in the Lahore Whites squad for the ongoing National T20 Championship in Peshawar.
Now it has come to light that he will not be taking part in the domestic competition and instead is working on his batting with some coaches. There is no information about who these coaches are but a source close to the Pakistan Cricket Board said that Babar and the team management have decided that he should work on the technical flaws of his batting instead of playing in the national competition.
