Our Yorkshire Farm and now Our Farm Next Door star Amanda Owen has issued a 'sickening' update from the Yorkshire farm she shares with her ex-husband and their nine children.

The Yorkshire Shepherdess rose to fame on Channel 5's hit reality show Our Yorkshire Farm and continues to keep her loyal army of 550,000 followers updated with the latest challenges of farming life on the remote Yorkshire Dales land.

This week Amanda revealed that she feared for the lives of her lambs this week as lambing season began with a 'sickening' animal on the ropes. She said: "Yesterday Coco, our sickening sheep lambed.

"I was a bit apprehensive about this. I did wonder whether one of the lambs would be deformed or dead by way of explaining some of Coco's symptoms. Anyway neither of these scenarios proved to be true. Her lambs are small but perfectly healthy and hopefully now Coco will mend."

Days after the update, Amanda returned to Instagram to explain the tumultuous week the Owen clan have faced on the Ravenseat farm.

She added: "I can't possibly get any kind of semblance of order in everyday life so I've no intention of trying to do so on my Instagram feed.

"In the space of a week it was snowy and then very warm. Always on the go and tackling head on whatever comes our way. Rarely winning, mostly on firefighting and damage limitation but absolutely never bored."

The Owen clan has now moved to Channel 4, where they have wrapped up three series of their new show Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids, charting their attempt to renovate a barn to have somewhere to live, with one more series confirmed to follow some time next year.
