A lawyer in Indore has become a victim of a significant fraud under the guise of marriage. A woman he met through a matrimonial site absconded with 25 tolas of gold and silver jewelry, collaborating with her former husband. The police have initiated a fraud case against both individuals involved.
This incident has emerged as a sensational case in Madhya Pradesh's Indore. The lawyer, who married a woman named Nirmala Sengar through a matrimonial platform, provided her with accommodation in his home. Initially, everything seemed normal, but soon the woman introduced a young man as her 'brother.'
Trusting her, the lawyer accepted the young man as part of his family. However, the woman mysteriously vanished shortly after, and upon checking the wardrobe, the lawyer discovered that approximately 25 tolas of jewelry were also missing.
What Did the Investigation Reveal?
Upon investigating the matter, the lawyer uncovered the truth. The young man, who was presented as a relative, turned out to be Shubham Sengar, who had already married Nirmala in 2024. The police have filed a fraud case against both the woman and her former husband and have begun their search.
Statements from DSP Nitin Singh
According to DSP Nitin Singh, the woman is from Kanpur, while Shubham Sengar resides in Indore. The police suspect that the couple had premeditated this fraudulent scheme under the pretense of marriage. This incident serves as a serious warning regarding fraud in matrimonial sites.
