Shivam Dubey T20 World Cup Medal: Sanju Samson and Jasprit Bumrah not only had a hand in making India the champion in the T20 World Cup 2026, but also a player is the hero of this victory who performed brilliantly on important occasions and led Team India to victory. We are talking about Shivam Dubey, who played excellent innings as a finisher on difficult occasions, on the basis of which India won the T20 World Cup for the second consecutive time. Shivam Dubey has now returned home after becoming a world champion and this player has given his T20 World Cup to a very special person. This person is so special that this person has made the biggest contribution in making him a cricketer. This person gave daily oil massage to Shivam Dubey so that he could recover from rigorous training. The one who massaged Dubey's body with oil is none other than his father Rajesh Dubey, who despite his business failing, took his son to Team India.
Shivam Dubey gave medal to his father
Shivam Dubey posted some pictures of his father wearing the medal. He wrote on it that he is the real hero of my life. Let us tell you that Rajesh Dubey is from Bhadohi district of UP and he had reached Mumbai in search of work. He earlier ran a dairy farm business and later started a jeans washing factory. But to make the career of his son Shivam, he gave the entire business on lease. When Shivam was just 6 years old, his father Rajesh Dubey came to know about his talent. This player was hitting long sixes at a young age and after this Rajesh decided to make him a cricketer.

Training started at home
Rajesh Dubey made a turf pitch behind the house itself. Practiced for hours in the morning and evening. He used to throw 500 balls to his son every day and this trend continued for 10 years. Shivam used to go to Chandrakant Pandit Cricket Academy in Mumbai since the age of just 6, later he was trained by Satish Samant. Dubey used to feel tired after practice and to get rid of it, his father used to massage him with mustard oil daily. When Shivam was 14 years old, his father's business failed and the family incurred huge debts. Due to this, Shivam Dubey stopped playing cricket for 5 years. Shivam Dubey's weight increased to 110 kg and he went into depression. But Rajesh Dubey did not give up and made his son gain 75 kg in a year. Practice was started again at home for 8 hours and today the result is in front of everyone. This is the reason why Shivam considers his father the biggest hero. Shivam Dubey has won not just one but two T20 World Cups. Surely his father also contributed to this victory.
