Netflix Launches Eyeline Studios in India
Netflix has officially inaugurated a franchise of its Eyeline Studios VFX in Hyderabad, India. The launch ceremony was graced by actor and filmmaker Rana Daggubati. Eyeline Studios, under the leadership of CEO Jeff Shapiro, aims to enhance visual effects with cutting-edge filmmaking technology. This new facility covers an impressive 32,000 square feet, marking it as the fifth Eyeline Studios location globally, following those in Los Angeles, Vancouver, Seoul, and London.
Details of the Launch Event
Rana Daggubati was present at the launch of Netflix's Eyeline Studios VFX, which is the second studio established in India, located in Hyderabad. The event also saw the participation of Telangana's Chief Minister Shri Anumula Revanth Reddy and Secretary of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting Shri Sanjay Jaju, who addressed attendees on March 12.
During the event, Rana Daggubati, who has worked with Netflix on his web series Rana Naidu, expressed his excitement about the establishment of a globally recognized VFX studio. He noted that the production capabilities for future releases on the OTT platform would be significantly enhanced. Daggubati reflected on the evolution of opportunities in Hyderabad over the past two decades, highlighting the early connections made by Ted Sarandos with the local industry. He emphasized the progress Hyderabad has made in becoming a creative hub, thanking audiences for their support in pushing filmmakers to innovate.
The studio is set to produce popular series such as Happy Gilmore 2, Wednesday, Stranger Things, and Daredevil: Born Again. It will utilize advanced technologies including the Light Dome volumetric lighting system, LED volume stages, 4D capture systems, and AI/ML-driven production tools for more efficient and intelligent production processes.

Rana Daggubati stars in the crime thriller Netflix series Rana Naidu, directed by Karan Anshuman and Suparn Verma. This series marks Netflix's first original Telugu production, loosely based on the acclaimed American Showtime series Ray Donovan. The two seasons feature Daggubati in the lead role, alongside Afrah Sayed as Nitya and Venkatesh Daggubati portraying Naga Naidu, Rana's father.
