The National Testing Agency (NTA) has reopened the registration window for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains 2026 Session 2 on March 12. Candidates aspiring for admission to prestigious higher education institutions must apply through the official NTA website at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The registration link was activated by the examination agency on Thursday and will remain open until 9:00 PM today. The deadline for fee payment is set for March 13, 2026, at 11:50 PM.

To fill out the application form for JEE Mains 2026 Session 2, follow these step-by-step instructions:

Step 1: Visit the JEE Mains website at jeemain.nta.nic.in.

Step 2: Click on the registration link for JEE(Main)-2026 [Session-II].

Step 3: Log in using your application number and password, and provide necessary details such as your name, parents' names, email ID, mobile number, and address.

Step 4: Complete the application form for JEE Main Session 2 2026 and indicate your preferred exam city.

Step 5: Capture a live photo.

Step 6: Upload scanned images of the candidate's photo, signature, and Class 10 certificate. If applying under OBC-NCL/SC/ST/General-EWS/PWD/PWBD categories, students must upload their respective certificates.

Step 7: Pay the application fee online via credit card, debit card, UPI, or internet banking.

The city slip for one of the most competitive engineering entrance exams is expected to be released approximately 3 to 4 days before the exam, likely in the second week of March. This national-level examination will be conducted in a computer-based test (CBT) format from April 2 to April 9 across various cities in India. After the registration window closed on February 25, the NTA received numerous requests from candidates to extend or reopen the online application portal. Students had requested the opportunity to submit their applications and pay the application fee for JEE (Mains) 2026 Session-2.

In response, the NTA has reopened the registration portal and provided a "special extended opportunity" for those who could not complete the registration process on time. The official notice advises candidates to ensure that all information entered during the online registration process is accurate and complete. As this is a special extended period, no correction facility will be available after the application form is submitted.
