The latest episode of Ryan Murphy's Love Story is now available on Disney Plus and references yet another devastating loss endured by the Kennedy family.

Love Story centres on the relationship and marriage of John F. Kennedy Jr and Carolyn Bessette, which captivated public attention but ultimately concluded in tragedy.

Viewers have already witnessed several notable figures appear throughout the series, including JFK Jr's mother Jacqueline Kennedy. But there is also his relative, Anthony Radziwill.

Whilst we have already observed how close the cousins were, the latest episode makes a poignant reference to future events concerning the fate of Radziwill. But who was he and what happened to him? Here's everything you need to know.

Who was Anthony Radziwill?

Anthony Radziwill was born in Switzerland and was actually a Prince. He was born in 1959 to Caroline Lee Bouvier Canfield and Polish aristocrat and diplomat Prince Stanisaw Radziwi , reports the Mirror.

He was also the nephew of former First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.

Radziwill enjoyed a brief career as a television executive and film-maker specialising in factual programming.

He initially worked at NBC Sports as an associate producer and contributed to the broadcaster's coverage of the 1988 Winter Olympics.

In 1989, he joined ABC News as a television producer for Primetime Live and just 12 months later, won the Peabody Award for an investigation on the resurgence of Nazism in the United States.

What happened to Anthony Radziwill?

Radziwill was initially diagnosed with testicular cancer in 1989 and underwent treatment. He went into remission but was reportedly left infertile as a consequence.

Tragically, shortly before marrying his wife Carole, fresh tumours were found.

Throughout his five years of marriage, he continued to receive treatment for metastasising cancer, including some which were experimental. This means that the cancer spread from the primary tumour to other areas of the body, which can result in secondary tumours.

Despite numerous hospitalisations, operations and appointments, he and his wife attempted to maintain their careers as journalists as best they could, with her also acting as his primary carer.

They resided in New York throughout and Radziwill was the best man at John F Kennedy Jr's wedding to Carolyn Bessette on September 21, 1996. Radziwill died on August 10, 1999, six days after his 40th birthday, and less than a month after JFK Jr's plane crash.
