Bengaluru: The Bengaluru Urban district administration has clarified that there is no shortage of domestic cooking gas in the city and urged the public not to panic.
According to the district administration, sufficient stock of domestic LPG cylinders is available across Bengaluru Urban district. Officials said there is no shortage of cooking gas and people need not worry.
Bengaluru Urban Deputy Commissioner Jagadeesh G has appealed to the public not to believe rumours circulating on social media about a shortage of LPG cylinders.
He said if consumers face any problems related to domestic cooking gas supply, they can contact the helpline number 9611404384 for assistance.
Recently, reports had emerged that some hotels in Bengaluru were facing a shortage of gas. Following this, many residents rushed to stock extra domestic LPG cylinders fearing a possible shortage.
After these developments, the district administration issued a statement assuring the public that adequate LPG stock is available in the city.
