In Mainpuri, a 3.5 year old child died after toffee got stuck in his throat. After eating the toffee that had been insisted by his father, his breathing stopped. When taken to the hospital, the doctors declared him dead.
Mainpuri: A very painful incident has come to light in Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh. Here a three and a half year old child, who had gone to the shop with his sister, took the life of a toffee he bought with insistence. The child's breathing stopped due to the toffee getting stuck in his throat. By the time the panicked family members could understand something and take him to the hospital, it was too late. On reaching the district hospital, doctors declared the child dead. This heart-wrenching incident took place in Chacha village of Bogaon Kotwali. Manish's son Anand died in agony after swallowing the toffee.
According to the information, Anand had gone to a grocery shop in the village with his seven-year-old sister Shagun to buy pickles. Both were eating pickles at the shop itself. Meanwhile, the child's father Manish also reached the shop. Seeing his father, Anand started insisting for toffee. On the son's insistence, Manish bought him a toffee and gave it to him. As soon as he got the toffee, Anand returned home happily. But as soon as he ate the toffee after coming home, it accidentally got stuck in his throat. Within a few moments, his condition started deteriorating and Anand started gasping for breath as the toffee got stuck in his throat.
The family members were horrified to see the child suffering from pain. They immediately ran towards the hospital with him, but by then it was too late. Anand was the youngest among his three siblings. After this incident, the family cremated the child without informing the police.
