Explosions have been reported in parts of Dubai as authorities warn they are responding to a fresh missile attack. The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority in Dubai confirmed the country's air defense systems are currently responding to a missile threat.
Social media users have reported hearing loud 'booms in the Deira Murraqabat area at around 5.55pm local time. The UAE's Ministry of Defence has also reported incoming ballistic missiles, as well as fighter aircraft intercepting drones and loitering munitions. The sounds heard in scattered areas of the country are reported to be the result of the interceptions of these by air defense systems. Authorities are urging residents to stay in remain in a safe location and to follow official channels for warnings and updates.
