Diksha Dagar, Vani Kapoor, and Avani Prashanth successfully made the halfway cut at the Women's Australian Open, while fellow Indians Hitaashee Bakshi and Pranavi Urs fell short.
As per the latest updates, Diksha, who was the leading Indian player last week, recorded a score of 2-over 74, bringing her total to 2-over for the two rounds.
Vani Kapoor, who received a special invitation this week, added a score of 2-over 74 to her initial round of 72, also finishing at 2-over for 36 holes, placing them both in a tie for 31st.
Avani, who had missed the cut in her previous two tournaments, shot a 77 on the first day and improved with a 72, just making the cut at 5-over, landing her in a tie for 60th place, as 67 players advanced.
Unfortunately, Hitaashee Bakshi (77-74) and Pranavi Urs (78-75) did not qualify for the next rounds.
Celine Herbin Leads the Pack
Celine Herbin heads into the weekend with a slender one-shot advantage after posting a second-round score of 69 (-3) at the challenging Kooyonga Golf Club, bringing her total to six-under par.
Major champion Hannah Green is just one stroke behind, tied for second with compatriot Kirsten Rudgeley and France's Agathe Laisne, who recently won the Ford Women's NSW Open.
Herbin, a two-time Ladies European Tour (LET) champion, found her rhythm on the back nine after a series of 10 consecutive pars.
Following the turn, she recorded birdies at the 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 6th holes, initially extending her lead to two shots before a double bogey on the 8th hole reduced her advantage.
However, as the temperature in Adelaide cooled, the 43-year-old secured a crucial birdie at the par-5 9th with an impressive third shot, maintaining her lead by a single stroke as the tournament progresses.
Among the contenders, seven-time LPGA winner Green managed five birdies in her last 10 holes to bounce back from a double bogey at the 7th, finishing with a score of 69 (-3).
It's noteworthy that no Australian has won the Women's Australian Open since Karrie Webb claimed the title in 2014.
