In light of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's firm stance, the Uttar Pradesh administration has ramped up efforts to guarantee a steady supply of LPG cylinders, petrol, and diesel. The Food and Civil Supplies Department has launched a significant campaign against hoarding and irregularities in collaboration with district administrations. In this context, Chief Secretary SP Goyal has instructed all district magistrates to take necessary actions to maintain the availability of petrol, diesel, and LPG cylinders.

The Uttar Pradesh government is intensifying its crackdown on black marketing. In a statement released late Friday, officials noted that enforcement teams conducted inspections and raids at 1,483 locations across various districts. During these operations, four FIRs were filed against LPG distributors, and an additional 20 FIRs were lodged against individuals involved in LPG gas black marketing. Six individuals were arrested on-site, and legal proceedings have been initiated against 19 others.

To ensure consumers receive filled cylinders in exchange for their bookings, the state has activated 4,108 LPG gas distributors. The statement confirmed that distributors have a sufficient stock of LPG cylinders, and refills are being supplied as needed. The central government has permitted an allocation of up to 20% of total consumption for commercial cylinders, ensuring that hotels, restaurants, and other commercial establishments continue to receive gas supplies without disruption.

To oversee the supply chain and quickly resolve any issues, a 24-hour control room has been established at the office of the Food Commissioner for the exchange of information related to petroleum product distribution. Officials from the Food and Civil Supplies Department have been deployed there, and control rooms have also been set up in all districts across the state. Local administration officials and district supply office personnel are actively monitoring the field to ensure the availability of LPG for consumers. The government aims to maintain an uninterrupted supply of petrol, diesel, and LPG throughout the state, ensuring no inconvenience to the public.
