UP SI EXAM: A question on the first day of UP SI exam created a ruckus. A caste was included in this question, due to which a new political uproar has started in the state. In this question asked in the exam, one had to select one word for the phrase ‘varies according to the occasion’. Four options were given for this. In this, among the four options, the first was virtuous, the second was Pandit, the third was opportunist and the fourth was honest. Now a ruckus has started regarding the second option Pandit. People started raising questions as to why the Brahmin community is being insulted.

Deputy CM has expressed objection regarding this. He wrote on social media If any question hurts the dignity of any society or class then it is absolutely not acceptable.
I want to say clearly that words derogatory towards any caste, community or tradition should have no place. Instructions have been given to immediately investigate this entire matter. Strict action will be taken against those responsible. The Government of Uttar Pradesh works on the principle of respect, equality and sensitivity of all societies. The dignity of every citizen of the state is our top priority.
