A tense moment at a railway ticket counter has now become the center of a viral social media debate. A video showing a heated argument between a passenger and a railway ticket clerk at Jalandhar Cantt Railway Station has been widely shared online, leaving many viewers shocked and raising questions about customer service at the station.

The clip captures a confrontation at the ticket counter where the passenger and the clerk can be seen arguing. According to the information shared along with the video, the dispute reportedly started over something as simple as exact change for a train ticket.

Reports suggest that the passenger approached the counter to purchase a ticket and handed over money for the fare. However, what should have been a quick and routine transaction soon turned into a heated exchange.

The woman working at the counter reportedly asked the passenger to provide the exact fare amount. In the video, the passenger can be heard asking why the ticket cannot be issued if he does not have the precise change and requesting to process the booking.

As the discussion continued, the passenger allegedly suggested that he could pay the remaining amount digitally. Despite this offer, the clerk reportedly refused to proceed with the booking. The situation escalated further as both the individuals raised their voices during the argument.

At one point in the video, the staff member can also be heard threatening to call the Railway Protection Force (RPF) while the disagreement continues.

The video was later posted on X (formerly Twitter) by a user who accused the staff member of mistreating passengers and not returning the balance money. In the caption shared with the clip, the user claimed the behaviour at the ticket counter was extremely poor. The post alleged that the passenger was not given his change and was instead threatened with calling the RPF, and that the ticket was not issued either, creating a situation that felt unfair and chaotic.

As the video began gaining attention online, many social media users quickly reacted in the comments section. Some people expressed anger and frustration, saying government employees who behave poorly with the public should be held accountable or removed from their jobs.

Others pointed out that passenger services should never feel intimidating and called the incident unacceptable if the claims in the video are accurate.

A few users also criticised the general quality of customer service, with one remarking that customer interactions in India sometimes feel more like arguments than assistance. Another commenter questioned why the staff member behaved this way and said that such behaviour would likely be strongly condemned if the situation were reversed.

Some users also expressed disappointment, saying railway staff are expected to help passengers, not create conflicts. According to them, incidents like this can seriously damage public trust in railway services.

The video continues to circulate widely on social media as many people demand clarity on what exactly happened at the ticket counter and whether any action will be taken regarding the incident.
