In a recent Reddit thread, when a user asked Somy Ali why she left Bollywood, she responded, "I was fed up with Salman Khan's eight one-night stands. I also disliked the physical and verbal abuse in my daily life." She further explained, "I left Bollywood when my boyfriend brought in a new girl named 'Aish.' I had completed my studies and was very troubled by all of this."

Somy Ali also mentioned that her relationship with Salman Khan adversely affected her career. She appeared in films like 'Andolan,' 'Aayo Pyaar Karen,' 'Yaar Gaddar,' and 'Krishna Avatar,' but eventually distanced herself from the industry. Currently, Somy is completely away from Bollywood and is actively involved in social work.
