Gladiators' audience erupted in boos as host Bradley Walsh received a telling-off from the referee.
The presenter was questioning the regulations of one of the games onthe BBC programme when ref Mark Clattenburg barked: "Be quiet!"
Unimpressed, the crowd began booing as Mark wagged his finger at the TV personality.
The light-hearted clash occurred during Saturday's semi-final (March 14), as contenders Mo and Finn competed against the Gladiators in an attempt to secure a place in the final of the current series.
Mo was penalised for dropping a ball during the Collision game, telling Bradley afterwards that he believed he should have been awarded the point regardless, reports the Mirror. "I think I got disqualified with one point. I should have been allowed that," he said.
Turning to Mark, Bradley tried the clarify the rules in that situation, saying: "Please explain what's going on there, please?"
The ref responded: "You've dropped the ball on the bridge. That's against the rules."
However, Bradley questioned whether there might be a loophole, asking: "There's a case to be said that if you drop the ball and then you regain it and catch it? I mean, seriously."
However, pointing his finger at him, the ref snapped: "Bradley, be quiet!"
"The rules are the rules," he continued as the crowd erupted into a chorus of loud boos.
Smirking at the audience, Bradley muttered about Mark: "He's got out of the wrong side of the bed today."
The moment also entertained viewers watching at home, with several taking to social media to comment on it.
One individual posted on X: "The referee telling Bradley to be quiet as he objected the rules!"
"Bradley getting in Mark's bad books again, classic," another user chimed in on the platform, previously known as Twitter.
However, another appeared to think it was a tad excessive, commenting: "This show is getting a bit pantomimey..." Another quipped: "Clattenburg getting his audition for Christmas panto villain in nice and early."
