She may have preeeeeeviously found fame on Love Island — but Zara McDermott is continuing her mission to prove she’s more than just a reality star, with her latest career move showing her more serious side.

The influencer-turned-documentary maker is reportedly set to appear on an upcoming episode of The Apprentice — this time as a mentor helping hopefuls master the art of social media.

Zara has allegedly been drafted in to offer guidance to Lord Sugar’s candidates as they battle it out for a coveted spot in the final five, the Sun reports.

With around two million Instagram followers and a booming career since leaving the ITV dating show, Zara has built herself into a social media brand to be contended with. In the episode, contestants will be challenged to design pet products before launching a social media campaign aimed at UK retailers.

A source told The Sun: “Zara has built up a massive following online, so it made perfect sense for producers to bring her in.”.

Since leaving the Love Island villa in 2018, Zara has worked hard to reinvent herself — fronting six BBC documentaries tackling tough subjects including revenge porn and eating disorders. She also dazzled the nation as she shimmied across the ballroom in the 2023 season of Strictly Come Dancing.

Away from work, the star’s love life has also been making headlines. Zara is currently dating former One Direction hunk Louis Tomlinson after the pair reportedly got together last March.

It’s been a huge year already for the former One Direction star, who recently celebrated landing a Number One album with ' How Did I Get Here?' Of course, Zara couldn’t contain her excitement, gushing over his chart-topping achievement online.

Sharing his celebratory snap on Instagram Stories, Zara told followers: “NUMBER 1!!!!!!!!!!! Proud is an understatement.”

She added: “You deserve this my love. The kindest, most loving human being on this earth. Thank you for blessing all of us with your art and incredible hard work!”

The singer’s latest record dropped on January 23 — four years after his last album — and shot straight to the top of the UK charts.

It’s also believed Zara has now moved into Louis’ lavish north London mansion after previously moving back in with her parents following her split from Sam Thompson, moving out of the Fulham home they once shared together.
