Akshay Kumar said Ranveer Singh is the real angry young man, Dhurandhar’s gory action film created a stir

New Delhi. Bollywood’s Khiladi Akshay Kumar recently praised Ranveer Singh’s film Dhurandhar and called him the Angry Young Man of the industry. Akshay said that in the film industry, audience preferences keep changing every two years and despite this change, he never felt jealous of anyone.

Akshay Kumar told India Today Conclave that Dhurandhar was a completely gory action film and Ranveer Singh impressed the audience with his intense action scenes and great energy. Akshay said, “Ranveer carries the image of an angry young man in this film and it is always a pleasure to watch his performance. He never gets jealous of other actors’ good roles.”

Akshay said that sometimes gory films are popular and sometimes horror-comedy films like Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree are liked by the audience. He explained that it can never be decided which film will be a hit.

Reaction on becoming part of Liari gang

When Akshay Kumar was asked whether he wanted to be a part of Dhurandhar’s Liari Gang, he clarified that it did not happen because the film’s director Aditya Dhar did not think of it.

It’s not jealousy, but hard work and opportunities that matter.

Akshay told that there are 15-20 big actors in the industry and around 180 films are made every year. It is natural to miss a film or to say after watching one, “I wish I had done this film”, but there is no need to be jealous. He said, “Be like water, give up the mentality of being on top. Whatever is meant to happen, happens.”

Akshay also shared that he is soon coming up with his new horror-comedy film Bhoot Bangla. The film is directed by Priyadarshan and will star Tabu, Vamika Gabbi and Rajpal Yadav. This film is scheduled to release on 10 April 2026.
