On his birthday, director Rohit Shetty gave a special gift to fans and shared the announcement video for Golmaal 5. On March 14, marking his birthday, Rohit shared a special announcement post. He wrote, "20 years ago, the first Golmaal was released, a film that changed my life. The credit goes to you, my audience. Over the past 20 years, we have entertained you, and yes, sometimes disappointed you, but we have always been honest in our work. So now, once again, my fabulous team and I are set on a journey to entertain you as we start filming G5. You have always loved and supported me. All we need is your blessings. See you at the movies @tseries.official @rohitshettypicturez," he wrote.

The promo video shows Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Kemmu, and Tusshar Kapoor celebrating Sharman Joshi’s return to the franchise. However, everyone is left stunned when Akshay Kumar unexpectedly joins them later.

Sharman was part of Golmaal: Fun Unlimited (2006), where he played the role of Laxman Prasad Apte. The film will mark his return to the franchise after almost two decades.

Akshay Kumar’s shaved head look has also left fans intrigued, with many wondering about the details of his character.

Fans soon took to the comments to express their excitement for Golmaal 5. While some hailed Sharman’s return, many are excited to see Akshay Kumar joining the OG Golmaal cast.

As per a report by Sacnilk, Golmaal 5’s plot is based on a hidden treasure and a chaotic hunt to find it. The film will reportedly follow the Golmaal gang as they get caught up in a frantic search for the mysterious treasure, setting off a series of hilarious misadventure.

Golmaal 5 is also being touted as Shetty’s ‘most ambitious film’ yet. The hype multiplied after it was confirmed that Akshay Kumar will have a comic face-off with Ajay Devgn in Golmaal 5. This is the first time the duo will be seen together on the big screens in a full-fledged role.
