The administration has taken major action regarding the storage of LPG cylinders in Mandideep area of Madhya Pradesh. During investigation, a large number of gas cylinders were found kept in the open against the rules in an LPG agency premises. Considering this matter as a violation of the license conditions, the authorities took immediate action.
The administrative team reached the spot and seized more than 200 gas cylinders and a Panchnama of the entire process was prepared. According to officials, a detailed investigation report of the case will be prepared and sent to the Collector, after which further action will be decided.
Administration action on LPG agency in Mandideep
This action in Mandideep has created a lot of discussion in the area. Administrative officials said that the inspection was conducted on the premises of an LPG agency located in Sector-C, Plot No. 15.
This agency is said to be the authorized dealer of commercial cylinders of HPCL company. During inspection, it was found that many gas cylinders in the agency premises were kept in the open instead of being kept in a safe place as per rules. The authorities considered this a violation of safety norms and took immediate action and confiscated the cylinders.
85 cylinders weighing 47.2 kg found in truck
During investigation, officials found 85 cylinders of 47.2 kg capacity kept in the truck. According to the information, these cylinders had come on March 13 for supply to the Security Paper Mill located in Hoshangabad. But instead of sending them to the designated place, they were kept in the agency premises itself. This arrangement was considered against safety standards. For this reason, the administration considered it a violation of the rules and took action.
19 and 5 kg cylinders found kept in the open
During inspection, not only big cylinders but other gas cylinders were also found kept in the open. Officers found 115 cylinders of 19 kg each at the premises. Apart from this, 10 cylinders of 5 kg each were also found, which included 5 filled and 5 empty cylinders. All these cylinders were kept in the open premises instead of being kept safe in the warehouse. This was also considered a violation of safety rules.
Panchnama made after confiscating the cylinders
The administrative team confiscated all the cylinders on the spot. After this, Panchnama was duly prepared. Although the cylinders have currently been handed over to the agency operator, a detailed investigation into the entire incident is underway. Officials say that after the completion of the investigation, the report will be submitted to the Collector. Based on the report, further action against the agency will be decided.
Action taken in the presence of these officers
This action was taken in Mandideep on the instructions of Collector Arun Kumar Vishwakarma. During this, Revenue Officer Chandrashekhar Srivastava, District Supply Officer Raju Katulkar, Tehsildar Hemant Sharma, Junior Supply Officer Pratap Singh and Assistant Supply Officer Sangeeta were present. Apart from this, police station in-charge Ranjit Sarathe was also present on the spot during the action.
