Strictly Come Dancing bosses have reportedly shown interest in adding a new male co-host to the presenting line-up. Set to follow in the late Sir Bruce Forsyth's footsteps as part of a trio of presenters, sources have claimed producers are interested in testing telly favourites Bradley Walsh, Rylan Clark and Johannes Radebe for the role. The Sun on Sunday claims producers are looking to screen-test their favourite presenters in the next few weeks ahead of the comeback series this autumn.

The chosen man would front the BBC One dance competition alongside a woman, with the likes of Emma Willis, Zoe Ball or Mel Giedroyc still in the running. The new hosts will replace broadcasting veterans Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, who left the show last year after 21 years at the helm.

A source told the outlet: "Bradley and Rylan have been tipped for the gig, but Johannes is a new contender. All are very keen to land the role and offer a different perspective.

"The intention would be to team the chosen map up with a female. It will be a return when Tess co-hosted with Bruce, which was a very popular format. The show's executive producers feel Bradley has a similar style to Bruce - he can tell jokes, sing and has lots of charisma.

"Rylan has a massive fanbase and used to host Strictly spin-off It Takes Two, while Johannes offers expertise." When approached for a comment, the BBC teased: "Plans for Strictly Come Dancing 2026 will be confirmed in due course."

Express.co.uk has also approached Bradley Walsh, Rylan Clark, and Johanned Radebe for a comment. The news comes after TV bosses culled the professional dancer line-up last week, including Nadiya Bychkova, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk, Michelle Tsiakkas and long-running star Karen Hauer.

A source told The Sun last week: "There are major changes taking place with dancers having meetings about their contracts over the next few weeks. Bosses want a fresh start and to bring in new faces after all the drama in recent years, and create a new era."

The BBC is yet to comment publicly on the changes to the show. Karen's exit from the show appears to have been accidentally confirmed by her former dance partner, Sunday Brunch star Simon Rimmer.

He penned on Instagram: "Absolutely gutted that the very best teacher and dancer @karenhauer has been axed from @bbcstrictly - thanks for everything Karen. #friendsforlife."
