Sarah Ferguson has been tipped to join a major TV show to save her career, after charities cut ties and her companies closed following bombshell revelations linked to Jeffrey Epstein.
The former Duchess of York was dropped by seven charities last September, after an email from 2011 revealed that she called sex offender her "supreme friend" and seemed to apologise for her public criticism of him. Then in February this year, six companies linked to Fergie were wound down, after a huge dump of Epstein files released by the Department of Justice appeared to show Sarah chatting to the late paedophile over several years.
A PR expert suggested that Fergie may appear on an incredibly popular TV show, in a last-ditch attempt to save her career, though she would have to take the hit and do it for free. While there is almost zero chance of her being cast in a UK show following the major scandal, he said she may be cast on the US Traitors, to lean into a 'villain' role.
New York crisis PR strategist Mitchell Jackson told The Sun: "With PR you work backwards from the goal. What she needs now is a lifeline, financially and reputationally and the only lifeline I see is The Traitors. That's the only lifeline.
"The move now isn't to restore her reputation, the move is to play the villain. PR is poker and she's been dealt the villain card. She can't play any other one. She should do it for free. It's her only option."
Fergie's whereabouts are currently unknown, though she is suspected to be living abroad, since she has not been seen publicly since December 2025.
Both she and Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, her ex-husband, were kicked out of their home at the Royal Lodge this year following fresh revelations in the Epstein files. The former prince was subsequently arrested in regards to misconduct in public office.
He has consistently denied any allegations against him, and inclusion in the Epstein files does not indicate any wrongdoing.
In the huge release of files from the DOJ, which included around two million documents and images, emails appeared to show Sarah chatting with Epstein, including when he was serving a sentence for soliciting sex from a minor.
In one exchange from 2009, a "Sarah" said: "Thank you Jeffrey for being the brother I have always wished for."
The following year, another email from "Sarah" to Epstein overflowed with affection. "You are a legend. I really don't have the words to describe, my love, gratitude for your generosity and kindness," she wrote. "Xx I am at your service. Just marry me."
She had also asked him for money and appeared to set up a lunch with him and her daughters, Princess Beatrice and Eugenie.
It came after Fergie, now 66, was dropped by seven charities and stripped of her title last year, when emails appeared to show she apologised to the paedophile for publicly speaking out against him.
In an interview, she had said her involvement with him, including borrowing money, had been a "gigantic error of judgement".
She had vowed not to have anything to do with him ever again, but just weeks after, she appeared to privately message him saying: "You have always been a steadfast, generous and supreme friend to me and my family."
A spokesperson for Sarah at the time said her subsequent email was written to counter a threat from Epstein to sue her for defamation, and that she still deeply regretted any association with him.
