Indian cricketer Yash Dayal, who is part of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the IPL, has officially tied the knot with long-time partner Shweta Pundir.
According to reports, the wedding took place on February 04 in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, with only family members and a handful of relatives in attendance.
Although Yash Dayal has not made any official announcement regarding his wedding, Shweta shared a reel featuring both of them on her Instagram account.
Yash Dayal has been part of the RCB team that won the title in IPL 2025 and is set to don the Royal Challengers Bengaluru jersey once again.
Shweta Pundir is a social media influencer and vlogger from Delhi, and she also worked as a broadcaster for the International Legends League.
Their marriage has gained a spotlight amid the controversies surrounding Dayal and ahead of the IPL 2026 season.
Yash Dayal’s wedding has drawn attention because Yash Dayal has faced serious sexual assault allegations in two separate cases, including one involving a minor.
It is said that a young cricketer from Jaipur claimed that the fast bowler promised to help her advance her career and later sexually assaulted her when she was 17.
The alleged incident took place in 2023, and a First Information Report (FIR) was filed at the Sanganer Sadar Police Station.
In January 2026, the Rajasthan high court granted anticipatory bail to Dayal in one of the cases after a lower court had rejected his plea.
Initially, his bail application was rejected by a court under the protection of the Children from sexual offences Act, prompting the cricketer to approach the High Court for relief.
His lawyer, Chandrasekhar Sharma, argued that the FIR was filed nearly two years after the alleged incident and maintained that Dayal had met the complainant only in public and in the presence of teammates.
On the cricketing aspect, Yash Dayal has been named in the RCB 2026 squad for the upcoming IPL 2026 season.
Dayal began his IPL career with the Gujarat Titans in 2022 and was part of the title-winning campaign that season.
He joined the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in 2024 and has remained with the franchise since. That same year, he also received his maiden call-up for the India national cricket team during a home test series against Bangladesh, though he is yet to make his international debut.
As per the IPL 2026 schedule, Royal Challengers Bengaluru will play in the opener match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on March 28 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.
