New Delhi : Once again the issue of obscenity is in discussion in Bollywood. The new song Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke from the film KD: The Devil is becoming increasingly viral on social media, but there is a lot of resentment among the audience regarding its lyrics and dance. The pair of Nora Fatehi and Sanjay Dutt is seen in the song, and their dance video became the talk of the town as soon as it was released.

The song is sung by Mangali, written by Raqib Alam and music is by Arjun Janya. The song seems normal in the beginning, but as the song progresses, the lyrics become downright vulgar and explicit. Many users say that instead of double meaning, explicit obscene words have been used in the song, which is not being tolerated on social media.

Nora Fatehi has shown her energetic dancing in the song, which includes steps like dropping pallu. Sanjay Dutt is also seen dancing in the style of a villain. On social media, users called it worse than Bhojpuri songs and the level of criticism increased significantly. A few days ago, a similar controversy had arisen regarding Badshah’s song Tatiri.

The film KD – The Devil is a big project of Kannada cinema and will be released pan-India. The film stars Dhruv Sarja in the lead role, while Shilpa Shetty, V Ravichandran and other actors will also be seen in important roles. Prem has done the direction of the song and the film.

The song has been released in five languages, and was intended to be a party anthem. However, criticism on social media brought it into the limelight. Many people have described Nora Fatehi’s dancing and song lyrics as indecent, due to which the film is facing controversy even before its release.

The release date of the film is scheduled for 30 April 2026. After this song went viral and came in for criticism, it will be interesting to see how the makers handle it. This reaction to the song and film may give rise to a new debate on the issue of obscenity and censorship in Bollywood. This controversy has once again raised the question of how much consideration should be given to audience sensitivities and cultural boundaries in big projects with pan-India releases.
