After completing the wedding rituals, a bride stood at the threshold of departure but refused to accompany the groom. She discovered that he had been involved in a romantic relationship with another woman for the past year and a half.
Chaos at the Venue
The incident unfolded at Balaji Marriage Garden in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, on a Monday night. Although all wedding ceremonies had been conducted, the bride's refusal to leave with the groom left everyone in shock. The bride revealed that she had just learned about the groom's affair with another woman, who had contacted her and provided evidence in the form of videos and photographs.
Details of the Incident
The bride, residing in the Kampu police station area, was set to marry Giriraj Kushwaha from Guda Gudi Naka on March 9 at Balaji Garden. As the time for departure approached, she declined to go with the groom. When questioned by family and in-laws about her refusal, she disclosed that she had found out just a day before the wedding that Giriraj was involved with a woman named Pooja from Rajasthan, who had sent her several videos and photos.
Girlfriend's Warning
The groom's girlfriend called the bride to inform her about their relationship, stating that they had been together for a year and a half and that Giriraj was deceiving her. She warned the bride that he would abandon her after marriage and advised her to call off the wedding for her own good, claiming that Giriraj would leave her within six months.
Groom Admits to the Affair
Initially, the bride thought someone was trying to sabotage their relationship. However, during the wedding, she realized that Giriraj was indeed in contact with the other woman. When she confronted him, he admitted to communicating with her, which shattered the bride's trust.
Police Statement
The police reported that the bride's refusal to leave with the groom resulted in the wedding party departing without her. It was revealed during the wedding that the groom had a relationship with a married woman. Both parties reached a mutual agreement to separate, and no formal complaints were filed.
