However, after high-level talks between the Ministry of External Affairs of India and the Ministry of External Affairs of Iran, two Indian ships ‘Shiwalik’ and ‘Nanda’ were given special permission to leave there.

India’s ship ‘Shiwalik’ has reached Mundra port of Gujarat with 54 thousand tonnes of LPG stock even in warlike conditions. With the arrival of this ship, the bottlenecks in gas distribution will be removed. Also, another ship ‘Nanda’ is also likely to reach India by this evening or tomorrow morning. These two large consignments will help in clearing the shortage of LPG in the country and bringing the situation back to normal.

Due to the conflict between Iran and Israel, the sea route is completely closed. A large number of ships are still stranded at sea. However, Iran has publicly referred to India as a ‘friend’. Recently, while responding to questions about providing safe passage to ships, Iran’s ambassador to India, Mohammad Fathali, said, “I am sure that Iran and India are friends and our interests are intertwined.” In addition, Iran made it clear that India is a friendly country and will always adopt a friendly attitude towards it.
