Delhi experiences a shift in weather as rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds sweep the city. Temperatures drop slightly, skies stay cloudy, and improved air quality offers residents relief from recent heat and pollution
Delhi saw light rainfall and cloudy skies recently, which brought a break from the earlier humid heat. The change in weather has eased temperatures slightly and also improved air quality in many parts of the National Capital Region (NCR).
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds over Delhi and nearby areas through 17 March. These conditions are linked to an active weather pattern affecting parts of North India.
Expect skies to remain partly to mostly cloudy, with chances of intermittent rain or drizzle throughout the day. Winds from the northwest could pick up speed at times, keeping the atmosphere cool and breezy.
After recent rains, daytime temperatures have dropped modestly from earlier highs, offering relief from recent heat spells. Nighttime lows are also expected to be mild, though still typical for this time of year.
