Admissions for Class 1 in Kendriya Vidyalayas are conducted entirely online, and the selection of candidates is done through a lottery system. Importantly, there are no written tests or interviews required for admission to Class 1.
Once the admission list is released, parents of selected students must complete document verification and pay the admission fee at the allotted Kendriya Vidyalaya to secure their child’s seat.

Step 2: Registration: Select "New Registration." Provide the child’s and parents' details. Upon submission, students will receive a unique Login Code/Registration Number.

Eligibility Criteria for KVS Class 1 Admission
Students applying for admission must meet the age criteria specified by KVS.- Minimum Age: A child must be at least 6 years old as of March 31 of the academic year in which admission is sought
- Maximum Age: The child must be less than 8 years old as of March 31.
- April 1 Inclusion: A child born on April 1 is also considered eligible for admission in that academic year.
- Age Relaxation: Differently-abled children may receive a maximum age relaxation of two years.
