In the religion of Islam, during the month of Ramadan, everyone fasts and worships Allah. The festival of Eid-ul-Fitr is celebrated as soon as Ramadan ends. In this festival, different types of dishes are prepared in everyone’s home. Women offer namaz at home and thank Allah, while men go to the mosque and offer namaz. Every year there is confusion in the minds of people regarding the date of Eid-ul-Fitr. This year also there is the same confusion whether Eid will be celebrated on March 20 or March 21.

The date of Eid-ul-Fitr is decided on the sighting of the moon. Although Ramadan lasts for 30 days, sometimes it also lasts for 29 days. If this time the moon is visible on the 19th, then this year Ramadan will be of 29 days. Now the question arises that on which date will Eid-ul-Fitr be held in 2026.

When will Eid-ul-Fitr be celebrated?

The festival of Eid-ul-Fitr is celebrated in India according to the Islamic calendar. This calendar is completely based on the sighting of the moon, hence many times Eid is celebrated on different days in different countries. According to estimates, this year in 2026, it is possible that the moon will be visible on the night of March 19. If this happens, Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on March 20.

If the moon is not visible on the night of March 19, then the moon can be seen on the night of March 20 and in such a case Eid will be celebrated on March 21. Overall, when Eid will take place depends entirely on the sighting of the moon.

What should be done on the day of Eid-ul-Fitr?

In the religion of Islam, it is believed that all men should worship Allah on the auspicious occasion of Eid, especially there is a special tradition of offering namaz collectively. Women should also offer Namaz together at home. There is a tradition of helping poor and helpless people on this day. For this, grains and clothes are donated to the poor.
