Nora Fatehi has landed in fresh controversy after complaints were filed against her latest song “Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke,” with allegations that the track promotes vulgarity.
A formal complaint has been submitted to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) by advocate Vineet Jindal, seeking immediate action against the song, which features Nora Fatehi alongside Sanjay Dutt. The matter has also been brought to the attention of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
According to the complaint, the song—widely circulated on YouTube and across social media platforms—contains “explicit and sexually suggestive content.” It further alleges that the visuals and choreography are provocative and could be seen as offensive to public decency. Following the backlash, the video was eventually taken down by its makers.
An outsider to Bollywood and originally from outside India, Nora reportedly arrived in the country with just ₹5,000. She also struggled with Hindi in her early days and has previously shared that people would mock her for her language skills.
Over time, she carved a niche for herself through sheer persistence and self-trained dance abilities. Today, her net worth is estimated to be between ₹30 crore and ₹50 crore, making her one of the highest-paid dancers and a rising actor in Bollywood.
With around 46 million followers on Instagram, Nora commands a massive digital presence. Her popularity stems from her high-energy dance videos, fashion-forward posts, and engaging online persona.
Her ambitions have also taken her beyond Bollywood. She made her US television debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and collaborated with Jason Derulo on the 2025 track “Snake.” She has also worked with Punjabi artists such as Karan Aujla.
In addition to her film and music career, Nora has built a strong brand presence through endorsements with companies like Dabur Cool King, CakeZone, and BigMuscles Nutrition.
Her chart-topping dance numbers—including “Dilbar,” “O Saki Saki,” and “Garmi”—along with her stint on Bigg Boss 9, played a key role in cementing her place in the industry.
