Coronation Street might be set to welcome back a soap legend to finally defeat the villainous Theo Silverton.
Theo (James Cartwright) made his first appearance last year, arriving on the cobbles as Todd Grimshaw's (Gareth Pierce) new romantic partner.
However, it wasn't long before Theo's true nature and intentions were revealed as he began to manipulate and torment Todd for months, in an attempt to control every facet of his life.
Their relationship recently came to an end after a horrifying incident where Theo brandished a knife at Todd. Since then, it's been evident that things are far from over between Todd and Theo, with Theo keeping a close eye on Todd's every move.
In Tuesday's (March 17) episode of the soap, Theo continued his psychological warfare by ensuring Todd saw him having lunch with an attractive man, reports the Daily Star.
Moreover, it was recently announced that James, who plays Theo, would be departing the soap. With Theo being a potential casualty in the flash-forward episode, fans are convinced Theo will meet his demise.
But in what could be a significant plot twist, viewers are anticipating the return of Jason Grimshaw (Ryan Thomas) to confront Theo and rescue his brother Todd.
On a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, one individual commented: "Get Jason back, he'll sort Theo out."

Another chimed in: "I would totally love this." A third speculated: "Maybe Theo dies in April and Jason returns?" A fourth wrote: "Good theory."
Fans last caught a glimpse of Jason in 2025, when he made a comeback as part of his mother Eileen's (Sue Cleaver) departure plot. He initially graced Corrie from 2000 to 2016 and was involved in numerous significant storylines during his tenure.
Reflecting on his Corrie return last year, he expressed: "It was a mix of nostalgia and gratitude for what the show has done for me. When they told me Eileen was leaving, it felt right to be a part of that storyline for her and revisit where it all started."
Coronation Street airs Monday to Friday at 8:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX
