The first trailer for Dune: Part Three is now out, giving fans a look at the final instalment of Denis Villeneuve’s ambitious sci-fi saga.
The film features an ensemble cast including Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Jason Momoa, Florence Pugh, Rebecca Ferguson, Isaach De Bankolé, Charlotte Rampling, Anya Taylor-Joy, Robert Pattinson and Javier Bardem. New faces Nakoa-Wolf Momoa and Ida Brooke have also joined the project.
Villeneuve directs and co-writes the film with Brian K. Vaughan. The story draws from Frank Herbert’s Dune Messiah and is expected to wrap up the filmmaker’s three-part adaptation of the iconic novels. The film will arrive in theatres on December 18, 2026.
Chalamet returns as Paul Atreides, now portrayed as a more hardened and battle-marked leader. Zendaya reprises her role as Chani, alongside Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan, Jason Momoa as Duncan Idaho, Javier Bardem as Stilgar and Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica.
Anya Taylor-Joy, briefly hinted at in the previous film, steps into the role of Alia, Paul’s younger sister. Robert Pattinson joins the cast as Scytale, while Isaach De Bankolé plays Farok.
‘Dune’ box office run
Dune: Part Two performed strongly both with critics and at the box office, collecting over $714 million worldwide and winning two Academy Awards from five nominations.
Across both films so far, the franchise has earned more than $1.12 billion globally and picked up eight Oscars from 15 nominations, including Best Picture nominations.

Dune: Part Three is slated for a December 18, 2026 release and will go head-to-head with Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday in theatres.
