Taliban government spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid has alleged that Pakistani fighter planes targeted a major de-addiction hospital, causing massive destruction. It is being told that this hospital had about 2000 beds and at that time a large number of patients were present there. Media teams that reached the spot after the incident saw a scene of massive devastation in the hospital. Dead bodies were being taken out on stretchers and the number of injured is expected to increase continuously.

However, these allegations have been rejected by Pakistan. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s spokesman Mosharraf Zaidi said that no hospital was targeted in Kabul and all the allegations made are baseless. Afghanistan government’s deputy spokesperson Hamdullah Fitrat posted on social media platform X that the attack took place at around 9 pm local time. According to reports, the hospital has 2000 beds. It has suffered huge losses.

Afghanistan cricketer Rashid Khan also strongly condemned the attack, saying that attacks on civilians, near homes and hospitals are extremely worrying. He appealed to the international community to pay attention to this matter. Meanwhile, the local people have demanded an impartial investigation from the United Nations and human rights organizations into the entire matter and strict action against those responsible.
