It will start on March 28, in which Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will face each other. As soon as this tournament begins, fans are looking forward to enjoying excellent batting and a barrage of runs. In this batting-dominated competition, fans always have their eyes on the Orange Cap.
However, an interesting fact is that there are some players who have earned a lot of name in IPL but have not been able to win the Orange Cap yet. Despite being among the top 10 run-scorers in IPL history, these players have been deprived of this prestigious title till now. Let us know who those three players are.
3 legends who did not win the Orange Cap
Rohit Sharma: One of the most famous names in IPL history, Rohit Sharma has led Mumbai Indians to the IPL trophy 5 times as captain. He is second among the highest run scorers of IPL with 7,046 runs in 272 matches. Despite this, Rohit does not have any Orange Cap in his name yet.
Shikhar Dhawan: After Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan’s name is at third place in the list of highest run scorers of IPL. He has scored 6,769 runs in 222 matches and came close to winning the Orange Cap in 2020 and 2021. However, Shikhar has not been able to achieve this title till now.
Suresh Raina: Suresh Raina, who is called ‘Mr. IPL’ in IPL, has scored 5,528 runs in 205 matches, and is fifth in the list of highest run scorers. Despite this, Raina has also not been able to get the Orange Cap till now.
