In 2016, Aditya Dhar was preparing to make a big budget romantic film titled Raat Baaki with Pakistani actor Fawad Khan and Bollywood star Katrina Kaif. The film was to be produced by Dharma Productions and shooting was scheduled to begin by the end of 2016.
But in September 2016, 19 Indian soldiers were martyred in the terrorist attack in Uri, Jammu and Kashmir. After this incident, there was a ban on the work of Pakistani artists across the country and it had a direct impact on the rest of the night. The film had to be shelved and Aditya Dhar’s dream remained unfulfilled.
After some time, Aditya Dhar presented this story in a new form and released it as Dhoom Dham. Yami Gautam and Pratik Gandhi were seen in lead roles in this film. Aditya produced the film while Rishabh Seth handled the direction.
Aditya Dhar’s success did not stop here. After his blockbuster debut film Uri: The Surgical Strike, he has now completed preparations for its sequel Dhurandhar: The Revenge. Big stars like Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal and R. Madhavan will be seen in this film. The film will be released in theaters on March 19, while before that paid previews will also be organized across the country.
Due to the political background of the first film, there were mixed reactions on social media, but despite this, Dhurandhar performed brilliantly at the box office worldwide. Aditya Dhar, along with his wife Yami Gautam, gave a new shape to his dreams which were halted due to Pakistan ban and successfully brought the incomplete story to the screen.
