Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada MP Capt Brijesh Chowta has submitted a request to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to start a special train service between Bengaluru and Mangaluru (Mangaluru Central) during weekends.
A large number of employees, students, and laborers frequently travel between Bengaluru and their hometowns, especially on weekends. Currently, the absence of a dedicated special train service between Mangaluru and Bengaluru is causing severe inconvenience due to heavy weekend rush. He noted that this would help reduce the pressure on existing trains.
